Written as one cascading sentence, this novel follows Florian Herscht, a gentle giant living in the small German town of Kana. Working as a graffiti cleaner for a neo-Nazi gang leader obsessed with Bach, Florian becomes caught up in hunting a mysterious graffiti artist defacing Bach monuments with wolf emblems—just as real wolves appear in the area. A blistering satire and morality play about our helplessness facing moral and environmental crises. Translated by Ottilie Mulzet.
